Pat Hynes for Cook County Assessor
Assessor Hynes was elected township assessor in 2021 following a lengthy career with the Cook County Assessor's Office. He has extensive experience in the administration of the property tax in Cook County. Prior to his assessment career, Mr. Hynes researched commercial property data for Real Estate Analysis Corporation; a private appraisal firm.
He is a certified Illinois assessing officer and member of the International Association of Assessing Officers with a B.S. in Real Estate from DePaul University.
Patrick also serves as a POC firefighter/ EMT in his hometown with the Western Springs Fire Department.

It’s time to put a professional in charge.
Cook County taxpayers have suffered under a broken system—unpredictable tax increases and assessments that bear little connection to actual market conditions.
Cook County deserves an Assessor who brings professionalism, fairness, and a commitment to real solutions. Taxpayers need someone who is accessible, listens to concerns, and leads with integrity—not politics. I believe the role of Assessor is about service, not headlines—and it’s time to rebuild public trust in the system.
